Research & Expertise

Miguel Correia has a degree in Education Sciences and a Master's in the domain of Health Citizenship from the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto. Miguel has been part of the organizing and scientific committee of several national and international conferences, as well as a scientific reviewer for several international conferences and journals. Since 2019, Miguel has been part of different evaluation committees for courses in higher education as an external evaluator for the Higher Education Agency for Assessment and Accreditation. In 2022, Miguel created a nationwide group in partnership with Youth for Human Rights International regarding the advocacy of human rights and joined the board of the Framework Convention on Global Health to develop an international convention for global health. Miguel has been working on several national and international research projects related to various topics in the Education Sciences field, as well as in training companies as a coordinator and trainer in adult and professional education courses, namely with people from vulnerable communities. Miguel has been publishing and researching academic and professional trajectories, health citizenship, and global health. Currently, Miguel was awarded a PhD scholarship (International Call - Grant N.º 2023.01500.BD) by the Foundation for Science and Technology to research the relationship between Global Health, Human Migrations and Decoloniality.
